Why This Matters
PAU exists to put people before optics — and to put structure behind that conviction.
We organise high-performance camps and competition projects that give athletes the environment, coaching, and exposure they need to progress. In doing so, we also see the fault lines of the system: opportunity is too often determined by geography, economics, and visibility.
Funding in sport tends to follow predictable logic. Support often flows toward what is already visible, what is easy to package, and what offers clear commercial upside. That is not inherently immoral — it is market logic behaving as designed.
But it leaves a gap.
PAU is here to fill that gap.
What We Are Building
We want to formally register a PAU Foundation — a long-term vehicle to fund the work we do and the work we believe should exist.
Funding Target
CHF 50,000
This amount is dedicated to the creation and registration of the foundation and the operational setup required to run it properly.
The Foundation Is Not Only For Sport
PAU began in sport because sport is an honest teacher: discipline, repetition, injury, recovery, ambition, doubt. It reveals character. It also reveals inequality — not as theory, but as daily reality.
But PAU has never been only about sport.
We are building bridges between sport and arts, because culture is how communities tell the truth about themselves. And we invest in storytelling because attention is a currency: many athletes and grassroots initiatives are underfunded precisely because they are under-seen.
A foundation gives us the structure to fund all of this with clarity and accountability.
What The PAU Foundation Will Do
The PAU Foundation will exist to fund projects across three connected pillars.
1) Sport: Fund Athletes, Projects, and Camps
- →Training camps and high-performance environments
- →Competition travel support (mobility, logistics, entries)
- →Athlete welfare support where it directly impacts performance and stability
2) Arts + Culture: Build Bridges
- →Creative collaborations that connect sport with music, film, photography, design, and local scenes
- →Community-rooted initiatives where sport and culture reinforce each other
3) Storytelling: Sustain the Work That Makes Impact Visible
- →Editorial work and documentation through PAU Magazine
- →Creative production that treats athletes as cultural subjects — not marketing objects
- →Long-form narratives that make overlooked talent legible to the world
Why This Structure Matters
A foundation is not a vibe. It is governance.
We want the PAU Foundation to be built on:
- ●Clear criteria for support
- ●Transparent allocation of funds
- ●Measurable outcomes where possible, and honest reporting always
- ●Long-term relationships with athletes and projects — not one-off gestures
